Man Hit With Max In Drug Case

A man who was convicted of operating a meth lab and fleeing court was sentenced in Marshall County on Wednesday to between 7 and 25 years in prison. Larry Welling didn’t stick around after he was convicted back in November, of operating a meth lab in Marshall County. He fled the courtroom! But he was back in court yesterday for his sentencing. Welling’s long criminal history didn’t help either… he as 13 drug-related crimes on his record since 1999, along with a manslaughter conviction in 2007. That criminal history, and Welling’s apparent inability to own up to it, caused Judge Cramer to hand down the maximum sentence. Welling is now in the custody of the West Virginia Division of Corrections. No word on whether or not he plans to appeal.
