Carrollton Fire

A fire early Sunday morning in Carrollton, left a volunteer firefighter injured. Flames broke out around 2:30 Sunday morning at a house on Airport Road. The first call came in from a neighbor, who said he woke up for a midnight snack, and noticed the flames coming from his neighbor’s home. He quickly ran over and knocked on the door to get them up and out to safety. The garage was on fire when he arrived. Investigators believe the fire started in the garage and spread to the home, which was ruled a total loss, along with several vehicles. Everyone living in the house was able to get out safely, and nobody was hurt, but a Carroll County Volunteer fireman was hospitalized with a bruised neck following a fall. The exact cause of the fire remains under investigation.
