Moundsville Kidnapping Sends Two Brothers To Jail

Two men are behind bars today in Marshall County, West Virginia, following an incident Monday night, in which a woman was kidnapped and held at knifepoint in Moundsville. Moundsville Police say 33 year old Thomas Blake had a previous relationship with the woman, whose name is not being released. Police say Blake broke into her home and forced her… at knifepoint… to come with him to his house on Ruby Street. Another person drove the two to his house, where she was held captive, and those in his house were told to punch her if she tried to leave. The woman however, did escape, and she ran to another home. Blake’s younger brother though, chased her down and assaulted her. A neighbor called it in, then came to her rescue as police arrived. The woman is recovering, with bruises around her eyes and jaw. Blake is now charged with burglary, kidnapping, brandishing assault, domestic battery and destruction of property. His 18 year old brother Bryan Blake, has been charged with assault and unlawful restraint. Police say it appears to have all been because the woman owed Blake about $50. Both Blake brothers are now behind bars in the Northern Regional Jail.
